Mike Genthe's 1972 Monte Carlo

72 Monte Carlo

This is my 1972 Monte Carlo. This car is equipped with a 350 cubic inch engine, a 350 TurboHydromatic automatic transmission and a 10 bolt rear end. The exterior color is, (or will be), GM code 26 Bright Blue Metalic and the interior, if I get it back in, will be also blue, code 725. As options are concerned the car is fitted with power steering, and power brakes, A/C, and AM/FM stereo.

I am in the process of restoring this car for the last 4 years, because this is the exact car that my wife and I had our first date back in May of 1975. I sold the car in 1976 and my wife re-purchased the car and gave it to me as a Christmas present in 2006. The car was still owned by the same people that I sold it to back in '76, so now I am the 2nd and 4th owner of the Monte Carlo.

Over the last 4 years I have been conducting a frame off restoration and the progress can be seen at Mike's '72 Monte Carlo Restoration
